REMINDER TO SELF.
we were told —
pick a box,
pick a boss,
pick a dream you can live with.
we said no.
a dream without a plan is just a wish.
don't let your dreams be dreams.
we build things that spark —
and we build them to blow up.
apps. games. tools.
films. experiments.
sometimes they go viral.
sometimes they pay rent.
sometimes they're just beautiful and strange.
we let them go — and begin again.
duality is our default.
money is fuel — useful, never idolized.
art is air — devotional, not dogma.
we worship neither —
we chase money openly,
and sometimes chase something more.
we see the dream of today —
no unicorn dreams,
no golden handcuffs,
no asshole ceos.
we show up when inspiration strikes,
yet true progress grows in steady strokes,
bit by bit.
when the work is done,
we log off.
touch grass.
remember what matters.
no virtue signaling.
no hollow posturing.
we sell hard — but never sell out the truth.
hammers, code, cameras, sketches, ai —
tools are just tools.
we're not luddites, not tech bros.
the machine amplifies us;
it never owns us.
fear and self-doubt show up.
we build anyway.
agency is birthright —
creation is rebellion and prayer.
scale? maybe.
world-change?
could happen — accidentally, on purpose.
the system wants us busy & broke.
we game it instead.
if it flops, we laugh.
if it flies, we celebrate.
wild and wise.
soft heart, hard edge.
we experiment without judgment.
not precious about the work —
because we know what is precious.
call it anti-work.
call it art.
call it chaos.
call it love.
call it a grift.
call it nothing.
we're too busy shipping —
for anyone brave enough to dream.
don't let your dreams be dreams.
